The Czech National Quantum Communication Infrastructure (CZQCI) is a project to build a test version of a national quantum communication backbone infrastructure that will be used to validate relevant technologies and their integration into existing telecommunication networks, as well as to disseminate the knowledge needed for its use in the field of secure communication.
The CZQCI project serves to build a European infrastructure for quantum secure communication in the Czech Republic in the period 2023-2027 within the European EuroQCI initiative.

A number of Czech organisations are involved in the project. CyberSecurityHubcz is the coordinator of the consortium, which consists of Czech Technical University in Prague, CESNET z.s.p.o., Masaryk University, Institute of Scientific Instruments of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Palacký University Olomouc, VSB – Technical University of Ostrava and Brno University of Technology.
At the Smart Business Festival CZ, Dr. Reitzner presented the CZQCI project to all participants. The Smart Business Festival CZ - the Festival of Smart Business - offers especially small and medium-sized companies and not only them an annual overview of new examples of good practice and offers of cooperation.
At the second annual Quantum Day conference, plans for the CZQCI project were presented and discussed in the context of the current developments in quantum technologies. Quantum Day aims to bring together science, government organisations, industry and innovation.
